Kathy Vander Pol - Administrator

Mrs. Vander Pol has been helping educate students for many years now. Three of her four children have graduated from Providence. Her youngest daughter is attending Trinity Western University in Canada in the field of Education and will be a teacher herself.

Amy Owens - Preschool & Kindergarden

Mrs. Owens was born and raised  in Ferndale, WA. After attending Ecola Bible School in Cannon Beach, OR, she came back home where she began her career in early childhood education. 

 She and her husband have two children, who she was blessed to stay home with for 14 years, while remaining very active in volunteering at their schools and classes. Mrs. Owens is thrilled to have her own classroom at Providence Christian with her favorite age group, the 4 year olds! In her spare time, Mrs. Owens enjoys time with her family, pets, crafting and baking. 

<p>Jennifer Odens - 1st &amp; 2nd Grade</p>

Jennifer Odens - 1st & 2nd Grade

Mrs. Odens is a third generation teacher. Along with most of her family she graduated from WWU with her teaching degree. However, she was the first in her family to pursue teaching elementary students. Her passion is in working with young children, primary grades being her favorite. Mrs. Odens has been a substitute teacher throughout Whatcom county for over 10 years. 

She is excited to have found a home here at Providence Christian and is looking forward to the plans God has placed before her to work with these students.In her spare time Mrs. Odens like to garden, sew, read a good book and spend time with her husband and daughter.

<p>Mrs. Duranda Marchell - 5th &amp; 6th Grade</p>

Mrs. Duranda Marchell - 5th & 6th Grade

Mrs. Marchell has her Undergraduate and Graduate degree in Education from the University of North Dakota. She has taught in Alaska, California and Washington. Mrs. Marchell has taught every grade from elementary school to undergraduate courses at the University of North Dakota. She loves teaching all ages and abilities and feels she has found a special place in Providence Christian School NW. 

 Mrs. Marchell and her husband love spending time with their AK family, especially their two grand-daughters, Elise and Richelle. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, photography, spending time with family and friends, reading and serving the Lord in cross-cultural ministry.

<p>Olga Lozovik - Kindergarten</p>

Olga Lozovik - Kindergarten

Mrs. Lozovik grew up in a big family, so working with young children has always been her desire. For many years, Mrs. Lozovik was a sunday school and a Russian School teacher. In her early 20's, she and her husband moved here to Ferndale, Wa. They now have two daughters. Mrs. Lozovik started volunteering with the kindergarten class when her daughters came to Providence and now she is a teacher for the K 5's. In 2017, one of her daughters graduated from Providence. Mrs. Lozovik knows that God has a great plan for her and the students she works with as a teachers assistant. In her spare time, Mrs. Lozovik enjoys reading, camping, and speding time with her family.  
<p>Kathleen Stevens 3rd &amp; 4th Grade&nbsp;</p>

Kathleen Stevens 3rd & 4th Grade 

Mrs. Stevens grew up in Anaheim, Ca and attended Cal-State Fullerton where she recieved her BA in Liberal Studies followed by her CA Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She has home schooled her 3 children for the last 15 years and is now pleased to resume her teaching  career at Providence and for her son and daughter to attend PCSNW. 

Mrs. Stevens and her family stay busy as they are involved in Church activities, 4-H, CAP (Civilian Air Patrol), piano lessons, and archery. In her free time, she enjoys cardmaking, sewing, and quilting. 

<p>Miss Hanson - 7th-12th Grade&nbsp;</p>

Miss Hanson - 7th-12th Grade 

Ms. Hanson earned her B.A. from Baptist Bible College in Pennsylvania, now Clarks Summit University. She loves teaching and working with students of all ages. Ms. Hanson is very blessed to have found a job here at Providence Christian School.​ 

She is very involved in her church: attending Bible study, helping with children's ministries, and playing keyboard on the worship team once a month. In her spare time she loves being outdoors, hiking, swimming, baking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
